Reconditioned
A haze fell over him.
His mind felt like it was on the brink of relapse.
Teetering between the point of forgetting old rules and beginning to be reconditioned.

interesting..I like it... a great use of words
there is a sense of anticipation associated with "on the brink" and "teetering",
cautious, even fragile perhaps?

I really like it.
